Party Casino runs real money games in New Jersey only. It holds no casino licence of its own. It runs on Borgata’s permit, and the platform behind it is BetMGM.

So the honest headline is this. Party Casino is BetMGM in a different jacket, with a much smaller welcome offer and much lighter wagering attached to it.

Whether that is a good deal depends entirely on how much you were planning to deposit, and I will show you where the line falls.

Who actually runs it

Party Casino does not appear anywhere on the New Jersey internet gaming permit list. That is how the market works. Smaller brands run under a licensed casino’s permit rather than holding one themselves.

In this case the permit is Borgata’s, NJIGP 25-001, held by Marina District Development Company, LLC. The app listing on Google Play names BetMGM as the developer, and BetMGM is the company that runs Borgata’s platform too.

What that means for you

• The software is the same as Borgata and BetMGM. If you have used either, this will feel familiar
• The regulatory protection is the same, because it runs on a full New Jersey casino permit
• The offers are not the same, and that is the whole reason to consider it
• You can hold accounts at all three and take three separate welcome offers

I said the same thing in my Borgata review and it is worth repeating. The American market has far fewer real casino platforms than it has casino brands.

The welcome offer, and the maths that decides it

The reported offer is a 200% deposit match up to $100, using bonus code SPINUSA, with a $10 minimum deposit and a 5x playthrough.

Two of those numbers are unusual and they pull in opposite directions.

200% is generous, $100 is small

Most welcome offers are a 100% match. A 200% match means depositing $50 gives you $100 in bonus funds, so you are playing with $150.

But the cap is $100 of bonus. That means the offer stops improving once you deposit $50. Deposit $500 and you still only get $100.

5x wagering is the real story

Five times is extremely low. Borgata, on the same platform, asks 15x. Tropicana asks 25x on slots and 50x on tables.

What that does to the numbers.

• Party Casino: $100 of bonus at 5x means $500 in total stakes to clear it
• Borgata: $100 of bonus at 15x means $1,500 in total stakes

A small bonus you can actually clear is worth more than a large one you cannot. This is the clearest example of that principle on the whole site.

Where the line falls

If you were going to deposit $50, take this offer. You get $100 free on top and only need $500 of play to release it.

If you were going to deposit $500, take Borgata’s instead. The cap here means the extra $450 earns you nothing at all.

The code matters too. No code, no bonus, and casinos do not apply them afterwards. Check both the code and the multiplier in the cashier before you deposit, because I could not read either on the operator’s own site.

The ratings gap between the two is wide, so make sure you install the one you want. Check the app name says Party Casino and the developer says BetMGM.

The store rates the listing adults only, 18 plus. That is the store’s rating. The legal play age in New Jersey is 21.

One reported quirk worth knowing. The app does not carry the demo mode that the website offers, so if you like trying slots for free before staking, that is a browser job here.
