betPARX Casino App Review 2026
betPARX is the online casino run by Parx Casino, the biggest land based casino in Pennsylvania. It has been running online since July 2019, which makes it one of the older operators in this market. It is live in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan.
Michigan is where this gets confusing, so I will deal with it first. There is no betPARX app in Michigan. The address mi.betparx.com does not exist. The Michigan product is called Play Gun Lake. It is the same casino under a different name. If you are in Michigan and searching for betPARX you will not find it. That is not your mistake.
The other thing to know before you deposit is that betPARX approves every single withdrawal by hand. It says so itself. That is unusual to admit and it changes how you should think about payout speed here.
Where you can play
- Pennsylvania: betPARX, at pa.betparx.com
- New Jersey: betPARX, at nj.betparx.com
- Michigan: Play Gun Lake, at playgunlake.com
Maryland has a betPARX sportsbook and no casino, because Maryland has no legal online casino. Any list that puts betPARX casino in Maryland has picked up the sportsbook by mistake.
Play Gun Lake and betPARX are the same casino
The Michigan Gaming Control Board lists the Gun Lake Tribe as the operator and BetPARX as the platform provider. The Play Gun Lake footer says it plainly: Parx Interactive Michigan Inc. is licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board in partnership with Gun Lake Casino, and the platform is Playtech. Its help centre carries the line “Powered by betPARX” at the bottom, and one of its own deposit articles still says “one of our goals at betPARX”, which tells you how close the two products are.
In practice the navigation, the help centre, the welcome offer and the game categories are identical. It is one casino with two names. The Michigan licence sits with the Gun Lake Tribe, so the tribe’s brand is the one you see.
New Jersey does not run on the Parx licence
This one surprised me. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement lists nj.betparx.com under Caesars Interactive Entertainment New Jersey, an affiliate of Harrah’s Atlantic City. So the land based partner in New Jersey is Harrah’s, not Parx. The licensed entity is GW NJ Sports Inc., registered at the Parx address in Bensalem.
Two things follow from that. Your New Jersey cage deposits and withdrawals are at a Caesars property rather than a Parx one, and betPARX’s own New Jersey deposit article names three different properties in a single paragraph, Ocean Casino Resort, Freehold Raceway and Harrah’s, which is not much help to someone driving there with cash. That article was last updated in October 2024.
One more small thing. The New Jersey footer says the site is authorized by “the State of New Jersey, Gaming Control Board”. New Jersey does not have a Gaming Control Board. The regulator is the Division of Gaming Enforcement. It is the operator’s error, not a licensing problem.
The licence numbers
Pennsylvania is the only state where betPARX publishes them, and it publishes both:
- Interactive gaming certificate 1239, held by Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc.
- Sports wagering certificate F-1239
Neither New Jersey nor Michigan publishes a number, on the operator’s side or the regulator’s.
The welcome offer
The headline is up to $500 plus 250 bonus spins on Sahara Riches Collect ‘Em Max, and it is the same offer in all three states. It is a loss back, not a deposit match, and the difference matters.
- Bonus spins: 250, released as 25 a day for 10 days. Winnings from the spins are paid as cash with no wagering attached, which is as good as this gets
- Loss back: a single casino bonus equal to your net casino loss over your first 24 hours, up to $500
- Wagering on the loss back: 5x
- The clock starts at your first casino wager, not at registration and not at your deposit
- Bonus expiry: 7 days from issue
- Issued: within one day of the 24 hour window closing
- If you finish the first 24 hours in profit you get no bonus at all
That last point is worth reading twice. A loss back rewards you for losing. Win on your first day and the bonus half of this offer simply does not happen. The 250 spins are yours either way.
No minimum deposit is published for the offer. The site’s general minimum is $10, or $25 if you deposit with PayPal.
Why you might see $1,000 somewhere else
betPARX runs several landing pages at once with different figures on them. Its own promotions page shows $500 plus the spins. A separate page carries up to $1,000 with 5x wagering and no spins. Both are live today. There are also reactivation offers at $500, $250 and $50 for lapsed accounts, all at 3x.
So a comparison site quoting $1,000 is not necessarily wrong. It has just landed on a different page from the one you will see. The default offer on the main site is $500 plus 250 spins.
Banking
betPARX publishes more banking detail than most of the market, including a full minimum and maximum table. It also contradicts itself in three places, which I will point out as I go.
Deposit methods and limits
The limits are published and identical across all three states:
- VIP Preferred, ACH: $10 minimum
- Debit card: $10 minimum, no maximum
- Parx Play+ card: $10 minimum, $2,000 daily, $4,500 per 7 days, $10,000 per 30 days
- PayPal: $25 minimum, no maximum
- PaysafeCash and PaysafeCard: $10 minimum, $500 per PaysafeCash transaction, $300 per PaysafeCard
- Cage: $10 minimum, no maximum
- Skrill: $10 minimum, no maximum
- Check by mail: $10 minimum
- Wire transfer: $5,000 minimum
Note that the PayPal minimum is $25 against $10 on cards, so PayPal is not the cheap way in here.
Pennsylvania is the only state that takes Apple Pay, and only for deposits. It is not in the New Jersey or Michigan lists. It is not a withdrawal option anywhere. It does not appear in the limits table either, so no Apple Pay minimum is published. Our Apple Pay casino guide covers which operators pay winnings back out through it.
Michigan is the only state that will pay you back to a debit card. Pennsylvania and New Jersey will not.
Credit cards
Pennsylvania says no, in its own words: “Currently we do not support the ability to deposit using Credit Cards.”
New Jersey says both. Its deposit methods article lists Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards. Its credit cards article on the same help centre says credit cards are not supported. Both pages are live. The deposit article was last updated in October 2024 and the credit card policy looks newer, so I would go in expecting debit only and be pleasantly surprised if not.
Withdrawal methods
Pennsylvania and New Jersey: PayPal, VIP Preferred ACH, Play+, Skrill, cash at the cage, check by mail. Michigan swaps the cage for debit card.
PayPal, Skrill and Michigan debit card all require you to have deposited by that method first.
How long withdrawals take
This is where betPARX is unusually honest. Its own words: “Withdrawals at betPARX are processed manually by our Payments and Security Team. Requests are approved in the order they are received. Typically, approval can take up to 36 hours.”
Once approved:
- Play+ card: immediate
- Skrill: immediate
- Cash at the cage: immediate for pickup, and cancelled back to your account if you have not collected it in 15 days
- PayPal: within one hour
- VIP Preferred ACH: 1 to 4 business days depending on your bank
- Check by mail: up to 10 business days from posting
Add the two together and a PayPal payout realistically lands within a day and a half, not within the hour the table promises. That is still respectable. It is also better than the operators that advertise a fast payout and never mention the review it has to pass first.
Two contradictions to be aware of. The timings article says cage withdrawals are ready immediately after approval; the cage article says within 48 hours of the request and bring photo ID. And the terms and conditions set a longer ceiling than the help centre does, at “up to 10 business days, depending on your withdrawal type”.
The minimum withdrawal is not published anywhere, in any of the three states. I looked through all three help centres and the terms. Check it in the cashier before you plan around it.
Games
betPARX does not publish a game count and I am not going to invent one. Four comparison sites give figures between 281 and 850, which is too wide a range to be useful.
What it does publish, on its own casino game rules page, is the full supplier list. That is rarer than a game count and more useful:
AGS, Big Time Gaming, Bragg, Design Works Games, Everi Interactive, Every Matrix, Evolution, Hacksaw, Inspired, Konami Gaming, Light & Wonder, NetEnt, No Limit City, PLAY’n GO, Red Tiger, Spin Games, White Hat Studios and Wizard through PariPlay.
The lobby also carries an Aristocrat category and several Playtech ranges, Fire Blaze, Jackpot Royale, Collect ‘Em and All the EPICWAYS, and the Michigan footer names Playtech as the platform. Neither Aristocrat nor Playtech is on the published list, so read that list as the suppliers whose game rules betPARX hosts rather than as a complete roster.
Live dealer gaming
Evolution is on the supplier list and the live dealer lobby shows Red Door Roulette, which is an Evolution title. Beyond that, the live tables will not display to a logged out visitor, so the number of tables is not something anyone outside the casino can count. The site’s own marketing names blackjack, roulette and three card poker.
The Xclub loyalty program
Two separate currencies that do two different jobs, and most reviews of this casino run them together.
Rewards Coins, the ones you spend
The redemption rate is published in full and it is flat at every level. Two coins buys one dollar:
- 5 coins: 10 bonus spins
- 20 coins: $10 casino bonus
- 50 coins: $25 casino bonus
- 100 coins: $50 casino bonus
- 200 coins: $100 casino bonus
- 500 coins: $250 casino bonus
- 1,000 coins: $500 casino bonus
- 2,000 coins: $1,000 casino bonus
Every casino bonus bought with coins carries a 1x wagering requirement, which is the lightest in this market. Coins expire 90 days after you earn them.
The earn rate is not published. betPARX changed the scheme in January 2025 and now says coins are “based on the game type, individual game itself and the amount played on each individual game”. So you can see exactly what your coins are worth. You cannot see how many you will get.
Tier Points, the ones that move you up
These rates are published:
- Slots: $40 wagered earns 1 point
- Video poker: $60 earns 1 point
- Table games except baccarat: $100 earns 1 point
- Sports: $50 earns 1 point
The tiers are Players at 0 to 999 points, Premium at 1,000, Elite at 7,500 and Elite Royal at 40,000 by invitation. Earning runs over a rolling six months.
Do the arithmetic on the published slots rate and Elite at 7,500 points means $300,000 wagered inside six months. Premium at 1,000 points means $40,000. Premium is the tier that matters to most people, because that is where expedited withdrawals and a monthly 25% deposit match up to $200 start.
Signing up and getting verified
Identity
Name, address, date of birth and Social Security number at registration, checked against a third party database licensed by the regulator. A mismatch on your name, an address, or even a prefix or suffix will suspend the account until someone reviews it by hand.
Documents go through a separate upload page rather than through chat, one file at a time, and on a phone you have to switch the browser to desktop view to use it. Any payment over $10,000 needs identity verification before it is paid.
Location
Geolocation runs through GeoComply. You must be 21 and physically inside the state, every time you play. One quirk to know about. Chromebooks are not supported, because the geolocation plugin does not run on them. betPARX says so itself.
Two things in the small print
- Dormancy: not logging in for two years can mean forfeiting whatever is left in the account and any pending wagers
- Arbitration: disputes go to arbitration in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and the terms include a class action waiver and a jury trial waiver
Neither is unusual in this market. Both are worth knowing before you agree to them rather than after.
The apps
There is a separate app for every state and the accounts do not cross state lines. betPARX says so plainly: different states require different apps, and each state must be accessed separately. A Pennsylvania account and a New Jersey account are two accounts, two balances and two verifications.
Which one you need
- Pennsylvania: betPARX PA on iPhone, betPARX PA Casino x Sportsbook on Android, from Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment
- New Jersey: betPARX NJ, from GW NJ Sports
- Michigan: Play Gun Lake Casino & Sports, from Parx Interactive Michigan. The word betPARX does not appear in the title
There is a fourth app, betPARX MD Sportsbook, which is sports only and has no casino in it.
The store ratings
These are poor and I am not going to dress them up:
- betPARX PA on iPhone: no score at all. Apple’s page carries the line “This app’s overall rating was recently reset”
- betPARX NJ on iPhone: 2.5 from 6 ratings
- Play Gun Lake on iPhone: 2.2 from 23 ratings
- betPARX PA on Android: 2.9 from 2,680 reviews, over 100,000 downloads
- betPARX NJ on Android: 3.3 from 520 reviews, over 10,000 downloads
- Play Gun Lake on Android: 2.6 from 2,200 reviews, over 100,000 downloads
Being fair about the iPhone numbers, six ratings and 23 ratings are tiny samples, and a handful of angry people move them a long way. The Android figures are the ones with weight behind them, and 2.6 to 2.9 from thousands of reviews is a real signal rather than noise. What players write about most is withdrawals being held or declined, accounts restricted after a win, and poor returns. Those are complaints rather than findings, and I am reporting them as what players say.
One more thing from the store listings: Google Play’s data safety panel reports “data isn’t encrypted” on all three apps.
Customer support
Pennsylvania and New Jersey both publish a phone number. Michigan does not.
- Pennsylvania: 1-833-472-7972, midday to 8pm ET, pasupport@betparx.com
- New Jersey: 1-866-472-7965, midday to 8pm ET, njsupport@betparx.com
- Michigan: email only, misupport@playgunlake.com. In its own words: “Currently we are not offering Phone Support”
- Live chat: all three states, 10am to midnight ET
Pennsylvania also has a payments email for stuck withdrawals, which is worth keeping if you ever need it.
An eight hour phone window is narrow. It also closes at 8pm, which is when most people are actually playing.
Is it safe
Yes. Parx is the largest casino in Pennsylvania, a 260,000 square foot property in Bensalem with over 3,000 slots and 141 live tables, and it has been in the same family ownership since 1990 under Greenwood Racing.
- Pennsylvania publishes the interactive gaming certificate number, 1239
- New Jersey lists the site on the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s own authorised sites page
- Michigan lists it on the Gaming Control Board’s authorised platform providers page
- Games are tested before a regulator allows them into a licensed lobby
- Complaints have a regulator to go to
The poor app ratings are a product quality question, not a safety one. Your money sits with a licensed operator either way.
How it compares with the other apps I cover
- Against DraftKings: DraftKings covers five states to betPARX’s three and pays out faster. betPARX publishes its deposit limits in a table, which DraftKings does not
- Against Borgata: Borgata has the far bigger library and a loyalty scheme worth real money if you travel. betPARX approves withdrawals in up to 36 hours against Borgata’s three to five day review
- Against bet365: bet365 publishes its banking in full and pays out faster. betPARX publishes its supplier list and its loyalty redemption rate, which bet365 does not
- Against BetRivers: BetRivers pays PayPal withdrawals in as little as 30 minutes and reaches five states. On payouts this is not close
- Against Party Casino: both are smaller brands on bigger platforms. Party is New Jersey only where betPARX reaches three states
What I like
- It publishes its deposit minimums and maximums in a table, in all three states, which most of this market will not do
- It publishes its full supplier list, eighteen studios by name
- It publishes the loyalty redemption rate, a flat two coins to the dollar with only 1x wagering on the bonus you buy
- It tells you withdrawals are approved by hand, and gives you the 36 hour figure rather than hiding the step
- PayPal payouts inside an hour once approved, and Play+ and Skrill are immediate
- Winnings from the 250 bonus spins are paid as cash with no wagering
- A published phone number in two of the three states
- Pennsylvania publishes its licence number, so you can check it yourself
What I do not like
- The loss back pays nothing if you win in your first 24 hours, and the clock starts at your first spin rather than at sign up
- The coin earn rate is not published, so you cannot work out what the loyalty scheme is worth before you play
- The minimum withdrawal is not published in any state
- The help centres contradict themselves in three places, on New Jersey credit cards, on cage withdrawal speed and on the overall withdrawal ceiling
- Store ratings of 2.6 to 2.9 on Android from thousands of reviews
- No phone support in Michigan, and chat closes at midnight
- Two years without logging in can forfeit your balance
- No Chromebook support
- Elite status needs $300,000 wagered on slots inside six months
Who this casino suits
betPARX suits you if you play in Pennsylvania and you like the idea of an operator that will actually tell you its limits, its suppliers and what its points are worth. On published detail it beats several much bigger names. It also suits anyone who wants a cage they can walk into, because Parx Bensalem is a real building with real staff.
I would look elsewhere if payout speed is the thing you care about most. Every withdrawal here waits for a person to look at it, and up to 36 hours before the method’s own clock even starts is slower than BetRivers or bet365 manage.
I would also look elsewhere if you are in Michigan and you want a phone number to call. Email and a chat window that shuts at midnight is thin support for a casino holding your money.
Frequently asked questions
These are the questions that come up most about betPARX, answered from what the operator publishes.
Why can I not find betPARX in Michigan?
Because it is called Play Gun Lake there. Same casino, same company, different name, because the Michigan licence sits with the Gun Lake Tribe. The address mi.betparx.com does not exist.
Can I use one account in Pennsylvania and New Jersey?
No. Separate apps, separate accounts, separate balances, separate verification. betPARX states this itself.
How long does a withdrawal take?
Up to 36 hours for a person to approve it, then the method’s own time on top. PayPal is within the hour after that, ACH is one to four business days, a check is up to ten.
Does betPARX take Apple Pay?
For deposits in Pennsylvania only. Not in New Jersey, not in Michigan, and not for withdrawals anywhere.
What is a betPARX coin worth?
Two coins buys one dollar of casino bonus, at every level of the shop, and that bonus carries 1x wagering. Coins expire after 90 days.
Do I get the welcome bonus if I win on my first day?
You keep the 250 bonus spins. You get no loss back bonus, because there was no loss to give back.
What is the minimum deposit?
$10 on most methods, $25 on PayPal and $5,000 on a wire transfer.
