Are casino apps in the Google Play Store?

Yes, some of them, and this is where most Android guides are still out of date.

Google’s real money gambling policy allows casino apps in the US, with conditions. The developer has to be a licensed operator, has to apply to Google and be approved before it can publish, has to keep the app free with no Play billing, has to carry an Adult Only rating, and has to block anyone outside the states its licence covers. That is a high bar, which is why you see the big regulated names there and nobody else.

DraftKings Casino and BetMGM Casino are both in the Play Store. For the others, the position changes as operators work through Google’s approval, so the honest advice is: search the Play Store for the operator by name first, and if it is not there, go to the operator’s own website, which will have the download. Installing it, whichever route your operator uses

Search the Play Store for the operator by name. If the listing is there, install it like any other app and skip to step four. Check the developer name matches the operator.
If it is not listed, go to the operator’s own website on your phone. Type the address or use a link from a page you trust. Not a search advert, and never a site that just hosts app files.
Tap their Android download link and allow the install. Android will ask whether to permit installs from your browser. You are granting that for one download, not opening the phone up generally.
Log in or sign up. An existing desktop or iPhone account works as-is. Balance, history and limits all carry over.
Allow location, then set up fingerprint unlock. Location is not optional; the app cannot let you wager without it. Fingerprint is optional and you will want it by the third session.

It handles a small or old screen. Android hardware varies wildly. An app tuned only for a flagship falls apart on a three-year-old budget phone, and that is where a lot of people are playing.

The Android red flags I walk away from

Android lets you install from outside a store, which is what makes direct downloads possible and also what gives the bad actors a way in.

An app file from a mirror or aggregator site. This is the one Android trap that has no equivalent on iPhone. A tampered file can carry malware. Play Store or the operator’s own domain, nothing else.
No state licence. If it takes US real money without a state regulator behind it, nobody referees a dispute and nobody is protecting your balance. This is the big one.
A website in a shell. Slow, no fingerprint unlock, back button behaves oddly. An operator who cut that corner has cut others.
Withdrawal terms you have to hunt for. If limits, timings and fees are not easy to find, assume they are poor.
